Your data, clearly explained
Privacy Policy
How we use and protect information submitted through Boicu Solutions documentation and the ADLAC support service.
This notice applies to docs.boicusolutions.com and the ADLAC support form. It does not cover the privacy practices of a merchant’s Shopify store or the personal data a merchant independently processes about its customers.
1. Who is responsible for your information?
Boicu Solutions is the project name used by an individual based in Romania to operate the ADLAC documentation and support service. The individual identified below is responsible for determining how personal information submitted through these services is processed (the data controller).
Full legal name: Boicu Razvan Constantin
Project name: Boicu Solutions
Country: Romania
Postal contact address: 500170
Email: support@boicusolutions.com
For privacy enquiries or requests concerning your personal data, please contact us using the email address above.
2. Information we collect
When you submit a support request, we receive your name, email address, Shopify store URL, theme name, subject and description of the issue, plus any screenshot or file you choose to attach (maximum 5 MB). We also receive information in any follow-up emails, such as message content and the ticket reference.
Technical information may be processed when you use the documentation and form, including your IP address, browser and request information, timestamps, and security-verification signals used to detect abuse and keep the service available.
We do not ask for Shopify admin credentials, passwords, payment card details or end-customer personal data. Please do not include this information in messages, URLs or attachments.
3. Why we use it and our legal bases
We use the information to receive, investigate and reply to support requests; deliver ticket acknowledgements; maintain limited records of issues and resolutions; secure the form against spam and misuse; and comply with applicable legal obligations.
For people covered by the EU/EEA GDPR, these purposes rely, as applicable, on Article 6(1)(b) (providing theme-related support under a contract or taking steps at your request), Article 6(1)(f) (our legitimate interests in answering enquiries, operating a secure service and preventing abuse), and Article 6(1)(c) (compliance with a legal obligation where relevant).
The checkbox on the form acknowledges this notice; it is not a request for marketing consent and is not our basis for necessary support processing.
4. Is providing this information required?
The form requires your name, email address, store URL, theme name, subject, issue description and acknowledgement of this privacy notice. This information is necessary to identify and respond to your request. Attachments are optional. Without the required fields, we cannot process the submission.
There is no automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects in this support workflow.
5. Service providers and recipients
We use the following services to operate this workflow:
- Cloudflare — hosting the support API (Workers), protecting the form with Turnstile and rate limiting, and forwarding mail received at support@boicusolutions.com.
- Resend — transmitting the support request and automatic acknowledgment emails.
- Yahoo Mail — the support mailbox in which forwarded and submitted requests, replies and attachments are reviewed and managed.
- GitHub Pages — hosting the static public documentation website.
These providers may handle data as described in their respective contractual terms and privacy notices. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not use support submissions for promotional mailing campaigns or sell submitted support data.
6. Cookies and abuse prevention
Our support form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which may process browser, device, IP-address and other security signals and use technical mechanisms required for bot detection. We use these signals to prevent fraudulent or automated submissions.
We do not intentionally add advertising or behavioural profiling cookies through this support form. Infrastructure providers may process request logs or use necessary security technologies as described in their own policies.
7. How long we keep information
We aim to keep support correspondence and attachments in our support mailbox for up to 12 months after the last meaningful exchange about a support request, then delete or anonymise them, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for an unresolved issue, an actual legal claim, or an applicable legal requirement.
Security logs and email delivery records may have different, usually shorter, periods controlled by the relevant service provider and account settings. You may request deletion using the contact address below, subject to lawful exceptions.
8. International processing
Some providers may process or access personal data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where required, such transfers must be covered by a valid transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards, such as applicable adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses under provider agreements.
Contact us if you want information about safeguards relevant to your request.
9. Security
We use HTTPS for the public support endpoint, access controls for the services we operate, and protective measures including Cloudflare Turnstile, rate limiting and file-type/size restrictions. No electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure; please avoid sending credentials or unnecessary personal data.
10. Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, or a portable copy where that right applies. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing is based on consent in another context, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.
To exercise your rights, email support@boicusolutions.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
If you are in the EEA, you also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority. If the responsible operator is established in Romania, the relevant authority is the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP).
11. Third-party sites and Shopify stores
The documentation may link to Shopify or other third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Boicu Solutions does not determine how an independent merchant uses customer data on a Shopify-powered store.
Please do not submit personal information relating to the merchant’s customers unless strictly necessary and lawfully shared for support.
12. Children’s privacy
The support service is designed for merchants and their authorised business representatives, not for children. Please do not submit children’s personal data through this form.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if our support workflow, service providers or legal obligations change. The current policy and its effective date will be published here. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
14. Contact
For support and privacy requests, email support@boicusolutions.com. You can also submit an ADLAC support ticket.
